Artists on Pearl Street invite visitors to stop by and take in the works as unique as the artists who create them. Pearl street artists include 46 Pearl-Sarah Holl Artspace open Saturday's 1:00PM-4:00PM and always by appointment. Gallery Artrio at 50 Pearl, and pottery studio of Jeanmarie O'Clair, Bass River Pottery. The Guyer Barn is located right behind these properties at 250 South Street, Hyannis.
Gallery Artrio is a fine art gallery featuring original paintings, handblown glass and hand wrought jewelry.
On Monday June 29th at 4:30pm all are invited for the debut of a beautiful new sculpture, Tides, created by Cape Cod potter Steve Kemp. The installation ceremony is right by the Guyer Barn on South Street, near Pearl. The artists on campus will have open houses after the installation, and the Inspiration Chorus is performing at 6 PM right on the Hyanis Village Green. This project s the result of the Cape Cod Chamber's Creative Placemaking through a grant from the MASS Cultural Council. A two year project, this involved independent jurying of submissions (from 19 artists) focusing on enlivening the local Cultural Districts on the Cape, first with public art and then with related activities and events to draw people to the street-and the surrounding businesses.
Gallery Artrio is currently featuring their “Singin’ the Blues” exhibit, as they participate in the Cape Cod Hydrangea Festival in July. The exhibit will have paintings of hydrangeas, in the landscape and in still life, in the many colors and forms of this celebrated shrub. During the festival, July 10 - 19, you’ll find artists painting hydrangeas both in and outside of the gallery. The exhibit will be month-long and there is an Artists’ Reception will be Thursday, July 9, 5 – 7 pm.
